Robert P. Macrae is the 15th Head of School for Louisville Collegiate School and has spent over 35 years working in independent school leadership, 17 of which as a Head of School at Cincinnati’s Country Day School, New Canaan Country School, and Louisville Collegiate School.
Under Dr. Macrae’s leadership, Collegiate has increased enrollment & engagement to the highest
in the school’s 100+ year history. His primary focus
is building a culture & climate of comprehensive wellness & well-being for all in the community.
A lifelong learner, Dr. Macrae earned his Bachelor of arts in economics & mathematics/computer science from Wesleyan University, a master of arts in economics and mathematics/computer science from Wesleyan University, and a master of Arts in Economics & Mathematics/Computer Science from Wesleyan Univ. & a Master of Arts in Educational Admin. from Teachers College – Columbia Univ. He continued to follow his passion for education by earning a Master of Arts in Educational Admin. & Policy Analysis from Stanford Univ.’s School of Educ. & a Doctor of Education in Educational Admin. from Columbia Univ.’s Teachers College.
Rob has been happily married to his wife Lynn for 33 years & they enjoy teaching mindfulness & yoga classes together, having raised 4 children. With the youngest finishing college & the other 3 spread out throughout the USA, in North Carolina, Mass., & San Luis Obispo, CA.
